Integrated washing machines are those that seamlessly fit into a kitchen cupboard so that they can be hidden when not in use.

Cold fill

A cold fill washing machine heats the water in the machine rather than using hot water from your boiler. This makes them a more efficient option as they only heat the water that they use rather than using excess amounts of pre-heated water.

You’ll typically find that all modern washing machines are cold fill as they’re preferred by manufacturers due to being cheaper to make. 
 

Front loading

Most UK washing machines are front loading, which is where you load clothes through a door in the front of the machine. The other option is a top loading machine which has a door at the top – often seen in American homes.

Washer-Dryer

A washer-dryer combines both washing machine and tumble dryer functions, creating another fantastic space-saving option. Buying a washer-dryer can be cheaper than buying two separate machines too, but it can be tricky to find one that performs both washing and drying functions really well.
